Felon in Possession of Firearm
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff's Office.  "On 09-25-2013 at about 1045 hours, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to 13505 Sitkum Lane, east of Myrtle Point, to the report of a violation of a restraining order in progress.  Sheriff’s personnel arrived and found Donald Lee Freeman, age 55 of Myrtle Point hiding in an attic crawl space armed with a sawed off shotgun. Mr. Freeman was taken into custody at gunpoint by Sheriff’s Deputies and transported to the Coos County Jail.  As a result of an investigation, it was learned that Mr. Freeman had been at the residence of 54 year old Kara Sisson of Myrtle Point in violation of a current restraining order.  It was also learned that Mr. Freeman is on felony probation and was in possession of a weapon.  Mr. Freeman was arrested on Felony Probation Violation and additional charges of Possession of a Short Barreled Shotgun, Felon in Possession of numerous Firearms, Burglary I, Criminal Mischief I, and Violation of a Circuit Court Restraining Order.  Possible drug charges are pending and the investigation is continuing."

News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff's Office.  "On September 25, 2013, at about 1912 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to respond to 91486 Cape Arago Highway, Coos Bay in response to a report of a dispute between a male and female in progress.  Upon arrival, the suspect, Louis Perez was contacted as was the victim Lisa Wilcox.  As a result of the investigation, it was learned Perez had unlawfully touched, and dumped water over the head of Lisa Wilcox.  The ensuing noise had disrupted neighbors in the area.  Perez was arrested for Disorderly Conduct II, and Harassment and transported to the Coos County Jail."

Shots Fired
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff's Office.  "On 09/18/13 at about 1720 hours, Coos County Sheriffs Deputies, and Confederated Tribal Police responded to 90820 Henderson Road, off Cape Arago Hwy, Coos Bay to a reported disturbance with shots fired. Upon arrival officers contacted 40 year old Jennifer Thompson and 40 year old Terry Thompson and found they were the subjects involved in the disturbance.  Following an investigation Terry Dean Thompson 40 years of age, Coos Bay was arrested for Felon in Possession of a weapon, (Potential Armed Career Criminal) and Unlawful use of a weapon.  Mr. Thompson was found to be in possession of a .22 caliber pistol.  He was transported to Coos County Jail where he is being held on $ 50,000 dollars bail.  Jennifer Thompson was not injured in the disturbance."
